Reuben Gingrich, a Goshen Indiana native, is a drummer and composer currently based in Los Angeles, California. He is most well-known for his work in the funk/rock band The Main Squeeze and also maintains a busy schedule in the LA music scene as a hired gun and session musician. Recent collaborations include performances and recordings with R&B singer Gallant and virtuoso pianist Cameron Graves. Gingrich last appeared at the Elkhart Jazz Festival in 2017, after releasing an album under his own name entitled Blue Island.
The 2024 performance will feature a power trio that includes his Main Squeeze bandmates Max Newman (guitar) and Rob Walker (bass). Their musical chemistry runs deep, dating back to their time as students at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. They have spent countless hours together on stages around the world and are poised to unleash a sonic tsunami on stage at Elkhart Jazz Fest.
