“Named after the small stream located next to Concord High School in Elkhart, IN, The Yellow Creek Jazz Project primarily consists of some of the school’s finest jazz alumni. The history of Concord’s jazz program has been vast and prosperous, and the group’s mission is to celebrate the program’s past, present, and future with this collection of performers, which includes the current director of jazz bands at Concord, Steve Peterson (CHS alum). The group also features accomplished guitarist Rafael Chavez, member of the band Lalo Cura.
