Considered a master trumpeter/flugelhorn player, Lewis is famous for his lyrical style and warm sound. He has been a leading figure in Chicago Jazz since 1961, continuously appearing as the leader of his own bands at Jazz Clubs,  Festivals and Concerts in Chicago, all over the U.S. and internationally.He was the creator and leader of numerous critically acclaimed music ensembles including EARS – JAZZ OF ALL ERAS.. He is considered an expert in all jazz genres

He was the leader of the Rhythmakers at Andy’s Jazz Club Jazz in Chicago for 15 ½ year.As producer of 12 CD recordings, Bobby leads his group and guest performers in creative musical interpretations of standards, Latin tunes and melodic original compositions of his own and some of his band members. He has also appeared with the Chicago Symphony and St. Louis Symphony orchestras, and with Al Jarreau and the Milwaukee Symphony, among others. Additionally, he has been a top Chicago studio musician with over 7,500 recording credits. He has received numerous awards, including two music composition fellowship grants from the National Endowment for the Arts. He was named 1997 Musician Of The Year  by the Del Segno Musicians Club of Chicago.  He received his Masters Degree in music performance from the University of Wisconsin.

As a sideman, Andy Brown,  has performed with multiple internationally known jazz musicians. His love of great tunes as well as accompanying skills have made him a favorite with vocalists in the Chicago area. He also had the good fortune to accompany Barbra Streisand when she appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2009. Andy has made many festival appearances around the world. In 2012, his trio was invited by the Chicago Mayor’s office to perform for the Nobel Peace Prize dinner in Chicago. Since 2009, Andy has co-led a two-guitar quartet with renowned guitarist Howard Alden. In 2013, Delmark Records released a CD of the group entitled “Heavy Artillery” which received four stars in Downbeat Magazine and was featured in their annual Albums Of The Year issue.  His latest CD is the 2016 Delmark Records release “Direct Call.”

Trombonist Russ Philips was born Denver, but grew up and studied in the Chicago area after his Father, Russ Phiips Sr. left Louis Armstrong’s All Stars as trombonist. Continuig in the tradition, Russ has become a well known respected performer around Chiago and on the jazz festival circuit. In and around Chicago, Russ can be found preforming in a wide rnage of settings from duos and trios to swining big bands.  He has recorded 3 solo CD’s ad appears on several others including four by John Sheridans Dream Band on the Arbors Jazz label.

Bob Rummage maintains a versatile schedule of performances with a variety of Chicago ensembles ranging from Swing Gitan to the music of the Mark Colby Quartet to the eclectic styles of Howard Levy. He has performed with many internationally known musicians such as Dizzy Gillespie, Nat Adderly, Benny Golson, Buddy DeFranco, Bela Fleck and almost 30 years with Mississippi blues man, Mose Allison. Currently he is performing with Petra Van Nuis’ Recession 7, guitarist Andy Brown, the Mark Colby Quartet,  Alfonso Ponticelli, Howard Alden and subbing on the hit broadway show, Hamilton.

Jeremy Kahn is one of Chicago’s busiest pianists, dividing his time between jazz venues, pit orchestras, and recording and teaching studios. He graduated from New England Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Jaki Byard. Jeremy then spent twelve years in New York, where he was a member of Vince Giordano’s Nighthawks, and was the pianist in the Chicago Jazz Ensemble (led by Jon Faddis). He has performed on stage with many well known artists and has played at many of Chicago’s theaters, including the Oriental and Royal George for shows like Wicked, Spamalot, The Lion King, and Les Miserables. Jeremy was also the pianist/conductor for productions of Hot Mikado and Pal Joey, and is currently a faculty member of Northwestern University and the Music Institute of Chicago.  He has been a featured performer at the Chicago, Hyde Park and Poznan (Poland) Jazz Festivals, and a featured guest on the radio shows of Studs Terkel and Marian McPartland.

Stewart Miller is a native of Louisville, KY, a graduate of music programs at the University of Kentucky and Northern Illinois University, and a regular in jazz clubs, recording studios, and festivals in and around Chicago. After two years of touring with the Glenn Miller Orchestra in the early 1980s Stewart worked in a wide variety of musical settings in the Louisville-Lexington- Cincinnati area and eventually came to Chicago in 1987. He is a member of the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic, an Instructor of Jazz Bass at the University of Illinois-Chicago and The Music Institute of Chicago, and can be heard on recent recordings by Chicago jazz artists such as Orbert Davis, Bobby Lewis, Russ Phillips, and Judy Roberts, and on Delmark Records 2004 release Up Jumped Spring by legendary trombonist Curtis Fuller.
